Right from the start it was made clear that the Hall of Fame would be reserved for men and women of Collingwood who have made outstanding contributions to the sports scene.

Every candidate is judged on the manner in which he or she has played the game.
Classification of Inductees

There shall be three (3) classes of induction into the Collingwood Sports Hall of Fame.

1. Player
2. Builder
3. Team

The Nomination Forms are available to be completed on the Eligibility Criteria tab during the Request for Nomination period.

Selection

A meeting of the Selection Committee to review and select all nominations  shall take place, as required, in the induction year, and will precede by not less than sixty days the annual induction ceremonies. The same endorsement policy (simple majority) will apply for athletes, builders and teams.

The Selection Committee recommendations will be presented to the Board of Governors for final approval.
